Ys VIII: A Reason to Play my Vita Again!

I have never played a Ys game. That has now changed. To be fair I’m only a handful of hours in but so far I am enjoying it very much. The game is available on the Vita, PS4, PC and Switch and I went out to buy it on the Switch, forgetting it was first out on the Vita. Out of curiosity I asked the local Gamestop if they had a copy on Vita since their Vita games are no longer on the shelf requiring you to ask for them as if they are a dirty magazine. Surprisingly they had a use copy with the original case. I’m a stickler for the case. No original case, no deal.

Vampyr so Far…

I was tempted to call it a flawed masterpiece but there are two issues with that. The first is that I have not completed it yet and the second is that it’s not a masterpiece. However I am having fun with it despite it’s flaws.

Vampyr is a 3rd person action RPG set in London during the Spanish flu epidemic. You play as a vampyr, er I mean vampire, who has been recently turned and trying to still be a good person and help take care of the patients in the hospital you now work for while also solving the mystery of who turned you and made you kill your own sister.

NieR: Automata – A (late) Gamers Review

If you want to know why, or just want to learn more about the game then let’s do this. Be warned, there is a lot to cover here so sit back, relax, grab a drink and read on.

I didn’t even think twice about this game when it came out. I thought “Who cares?!” the first one had mixed reviews at best, why on earth is there another one? It wasn’t even a blip on my radar except for really enjoying the videos that Outside Xbox/Extra were putting out about it. I laughed at the videos, thought maybe it looked ok, if a bit boring and life went on.

Stephen takes a look at the recently released Alpha Demo for Nioh on PS4. A soul-like game by Koei-Tecmo.

Dark Souls 3 – How to Find: Greirat’s Ashes in the Grand Archives (Lothric Castle)

Took me a few days to find them! Once I did I knew I had to make a video as there was literally ZERO videos showing this, from the bonfire, on YouTube.

Can a tablet run Dark Souls 3?

Today Stephen installs and runs Dark Souls 3 on the original Surface Pro Tablet. It ran Tomb Raider, Dark Souls 2 and Crysis like a champ but will a brand new release cripple it? Let’s see if the Surface has finally met it’s match!

Recorded via HDMI out and an Elgato capture device.
