The new Saint’s Row game is one that a lot of people have issues with. I’m not one of them. I’m not going to pretend it’s a better game than it is, but I don’t think that it deserves all the hate it’s been getting. And I’m going to spend the next few minutes discussing why that is. Do I expect to change anyone’s mind? No, not really but I enjoy the series, enjoyed the game and it inspired me to make a review for it, so here we are.Continue reading

Let’s Play Thymesia, a Bloodborne-esq souls like.
Driven by a being a sucker for “budget” games and a fondness for the Souls series I decided to give Thymesia a try. I knew nothing about it other than it’s a souls-like game. It’s very similar to Bloodborne which is, controversially I’m sure, one of my least favorite games in the Souls series. So will I walk away enjoying this one? Let’s see.
Vampyr so Far…
I was tempted to call it a flawed masterpiece but there are two issues with that. The first is that I have not completed it yet and the second is that it’s not a masterpiece. However I am having fun with it despite it’s flaws.
Vampyr is a 3rd person action RPG set in London during the Spanish flu epidemic. You play as a vampyr, er I mean vampire, who has been recently turned and trying to still be a good person and help take care of the patients in the hospital you now work for while also solving the mystery of who turned you and made you kill your own sister.
Surface Pro Gaming | Episode 8: Yooka-Laylee
Yoooookaaaaaa Layleeeeeee!!!! Why am I so excited?! Because I enjoy when things just work. And that is exactly what happened here.
A very quick unboxing of the Nintendo 2DS XL, Also I bought a game.
I have a problem with keeping empty technology boxes.
I have a serious problem with holding onto boxes. I fully admit it. Anytime I buy a new piece of hardware, a console or really anything game or technology related I save the box. I have no plans to sell the thing but I like having the original box “just in case”.
Also I have some irrational fear that if I throw the box away then whatever I have becomes less “special” and I don’t know why that bothers me. It shouldn’t. I rationalize saving the boxes for the consoles as it will help when I go to move someday and can now pack them up in a protective box made just for them. And truthfully that’s what started it.
NieR: Automata – A (late) Gamers Review
Let’s make this clear right off, I adore this game. I do. So if you want to just cut to the chase and move on, yes I recommend this game. If you want to know why, or just want to learn more about the game then let’s do this. Be warned, there is a lot to cover here so sit back, relax, grab a drink and read on.
I didn’t even think twice about this game when it came out. I thought “Who cares?!” the first one had mixed reviews at best, why on earth is there another one? It wasn’t even a blip on my radar except for really enjoying the videos that Outside Xbox/Extra were putting out about it. I laughed at the videos, thought maybe it looked ok, if a bit boring and life went on.
